After a disappointing start to the 2024 NFL season, the New England Patriots are trying to right the ship with rookie quarterback Drake Maye as their starter moving forward.<\/p>\n

With the No. 3 overall pick taking over, the Patriots want to ensure he has the right weapons around him to develop properly and reach his potential, which could make him the franchise quarterback they\u2019ve been searching for.<\/p>\n

That said, the wide receiver position will be crucial for the Patriots, meaning they will want to get the most out of the players they have.<\/p>\n

One of those players is Ja\u2019Lynn Polk, also a rookie who can develop together with Maye.<\/p>\n

However, new head coach Jerod Mayo isn\u2019t taking it easy on the 22-year-old, saying he has to \u201cget over\u201d a mental hump he\u2019s dealing with and prevent more dropped passes.<\/p>\n
