Mahomes and adidas collaborated with the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum on the Mahomes 2 x NLBM Collection, which celebrates the Monarchs winning the first Negro Leagues World Series title in 1924.<\/p>\n
The shoe contains the Monarchs colors on the silhouette and the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum logo on the inner sole.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m blessed to have the latest colorway honor the @nlbmuseumkc and all athletes that paved way for myself and so many more. This collection pays tribute to the KC Monarchs and the 100th anniversary of their Negro Leagues World Series title,\u201d Mahomes said on Instagram.<\/p>\n
Baseball runs in Mahomes\u2019 blood, with his father playing 11 seasons in the MLB and him playing at Texas Tech and later being drafted to the MLB.<\/p>\n
