In the lead-up to Liverpool\u2019s Champions League match against AC Milan, catch up on the most recent team news from both sides.<\/p>\n

Tuesday night, the Reds return to the top European tournament when they play I Rossoneri at San Siro. Kickoff is at 8 p.m. BST.<\/p>\n

Federico Chiesa, an Italian summer acquisition, was among the 23 players in head coach Arne Slot\u2019s travelling squad for the match.<\/p>\n

Although he is unlikely to be in the starting lineup, the new No. 14 might make his club debut in the league-phase match.<\/p>\n

Slot was also asked about midfielder\u00a0Alexis Mac Allister\u00a0during his pre-match press conference, and whether the Argentinian may be included in any line-up rotation.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think you saw I took him off after 60 minutes, or somewhere around 60 minutes, against Nottingham Forest,\u201d the boss replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat also had to do with him not playing the full 90 minutes with the national team, being out for a few days with an injury, so that had a bit to do with rotation.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he is able to play tomorrow again, 60 or 90 minutes, and we will see the decision I will make tomorrow. But he is definitely, like the other 22, an important player for us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Milan come into this game on the back of a 4-0 Serie A victory over Venezia last Saturday \u2013 their first win in the division this season.<\/p>\n

Head coach Paulo Fonseca, who was appointed in June, will definitely be without goalkeeper\u00a0Marco Sportiello, defenders\u00a0Alessandro Florenzi\u00a0and\u00a0Malick Thiaw, and midfielder\u00a0Ismael Bennacer\u00a0for the visit of the Reds.<\/p>\n

Luka Jovic\u00a0has not been named in Milan\u2019s Champions League squad for the league phase.<\/p>\n

At his pre-match press conference, Fonseca discussed his squad plans for a week that also sees Milan meet city rivals Internazionale this coming weekend.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe same players can play [both games] but I can also have the possibility of changing in my head,\u201d he said on Monday. \u201cThis week we have three games and I have to think about all the games.<\/p>\n

\u201cTomorrow is the most important because it is the next one, but I cannot forget that we have the derby in the next Serie A game.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asked specifically about the depth of his options in midfield, Fonseca said: \u201cWe had Bennacer\u2019s injury but we also have a lot of young players like\u00a0[Kevin] Zeroli,\u00a0[Silvano] Vos\u00a0who has just arrived and is very good. I think we have good players in this position.\u201d<\/p>\n
