The Dolphins need balance, and McDaniel must dig deep inside to commit to the run. Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, and Jaylen Waddle are a dangerous trio, no doubt, but \u201ctoo cute\u201d is a great way to describe this offense\u2014and not in a good way. Miami has almost no self-discipline. They have the eighth-most penalties in the NFL, and this is with playing one fewer game than the seven teams ahead of them! It\u2019s like they\u2019re allergic to discipline down there in Miami Gardens.<\/p>\n
McDaniel doesn\u2019t hold the players accountable. Now, I\u2019m not saying he needs to channel his inner Mike Ditka, but the players don\u2019t need a buddy as the head coach; they need someone they want to fight for.<\/p>\n
What happens out of the bye week will go a long way toward figuring out the rest of the season and maybe beyond. Dolphins must make a commitment to the ground game.<\/p>\n
Offensive line needs to step up after the bye week. Dolphins need to become more disciplined with penalties.<\/p>\n
Stephen Ross needs to look at the makeup of the roster and where the money is being spent, and he needs to evaluate Chris Grier\u2019s performance to see what it actually is.
