Dallas has the second-worst rushing offense in the\u00a0NFL\u00a0through five weeks with just 420 yards gained as a team. The Cowboys are also second-to-last at 3.5 yards per carry and tied for 31st in the league with only 2 rushing touchdowns, according to\u00a0NFL.com.<\/p>\n

Cody Benjamin of CBS Sports on Tuesday, October 8, authored a trade pitch that would see Dallas deal for running back\u00a0Miles Sanders\u00a0of the\u00a0Carolina Panthers.<\/p>\n “[Cowboys owner]\u00a0Jerry Jones\u00a0didn’t want to pay for\u00a0Derrick Henry, so he might require Carolina to eat some of Sanders’ deal,”\u00a0Benjamin wrote. “But the former\u00a0[Philadelphia] Eagles\u00a0standout would at least give Dak Prescott\u00a0more proven run support.”<\/p>\n Sanders, 27 years old, is playing in the second season of a four-year contract worth\u00a0$25.4 million\u00a0in total.
