The\u00a0Pittsburgh Steelers\u2019 week has been filled with a lot of unneeded drama stemming from their Week 5 loss to the\u00a0Dallas Cowboys. George Pickens only played in 34 snaps, which prompted many to wonder if there was something behind it. Mike Tomlin attributed it to \u201csnap management,\u201d and later confirmed that Pickens\u2019 effort was a reason why his snaps were limited.<\/p>\n
It was also reported by Ray Fittipaldo of the\u00a0Pittsburgh Post-Gazette\u00a0<\/em>that Pickens has been late multiple times this season. One can assume that may have also played a part in the lack of snaps. Pickens spoke to the media for the first time this week, and he was very brief with a lot of his answers, including on the lack of reps he was given.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s game structure, game-plan,\u201d Pickens said. \u201cArt wanted to do a certain type of play or certain type of game-plan and it\u2019s gonna be different.\u201d<\/p>\n When asked if he can earn reps back, Pickens said it\u2019s not his call.<\/p>\n \u201cNah it\u2019s not up to me, It\u2019s up to Art.\u201d<\/p>\n
