Jones went to Lane College before becoming a third-round pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. He played five seasons with the Houston Texans and had stints with the Los Angeles Chargers and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Jones’s mother and son stood on the 12-yard line to pay homage to his number with the Ravens as the duo got a standing ovation. Former Ravens teammates of his took to the field to hug the family members while “See You Again” by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth played.

In 2017, Jones signed a one-day contract with the Ravens so he could retire as a member of the team.
