Derrick Henry came through once again for the Baltimore Ravens (and his fantasy football owners) on Sunday night.
In a Week 4 showdown against the Buffalo Bills, Henry put together his best performance yet in a Ravens uniform. The former Alabama Crimson Tide star dismantled the Bills for 199 rushing yards and a touchdown on 24 carries to help the Ravens score a 35-10 victory.
However, his night at M&T Bank Stadium was not without a blemish.
In the fourth quarter, the Ravens looked to add to their massive lead by giving Henry the rock near the goal line. But Henry fumbled the ball while trying to score. Fortunately for Henry and the Ravens, Baltimore fullback Patrick Ricard was there to recover the ball and score the touchdown that gave the Ravens their final points of the contest.
Despite the Ravens’ comfortable win over the Bills and his big individual performance, Henry said that the fumble would bother him.
“Derrick Henry said he might not sleep tonight because of his goal-line fumble,” wrote Ravens editorial director Ryan Mink.
“He’s not joking. He told me it’s going to bother him for a while. That’s the kind of guy he is.”
Nevertheless, Henry is humming like his old self for the Ravens. He now has 480 rushing yards on the season, 350 of which came in the last two Ravens games.
Henry could have another big game in Week 5, as the Ravens take on the Cincinnati Bengals up next — the same Bengals team that allowed 155 rushing yards to the one-win Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
