Arsenal is thinking about making a cheap move for Dusan Vlahovic next summer since things aren’t going well for him at Juventus.
Team Talk says that Mikel Arteta is still interested in Dusan Vlahovic and that Arsenal is thinking about making a cheap move for the Serbian next summer. The Juventus star is still not close to signing a new deal with the club. Next summer, he will have one year left on his current deal, and the Gunners want to make him more like Federico Chiesa.
Arsenal is still looking for a new striker because many people still think they need a dangerous player up front to be clear contenders. That kind of influence has been important to the Gunners. Many players were linked to Mikel Arteta over the summer, but he stuck with his choices, which were Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus, and sold Eddie Nketiah to Crystal Palace.
Since the start of 2024, Havertz has been the center forward for Arsenal, and Arteta will continue to trust him to lead the line. Even though there is respect in the German international, the Gunners are always linked with players like Viktor Gyokeres.
Because of Jhon Duran’s great form, they were also paired with him as an alternative to Gyokeres. One name that won’t go away, though, is that of Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic. They were after him before he signed with Juventus from Fiorentina in January 2022.
Reports say that Arsenal is keeping an eye on Vlahovic before next summer, and they might make a strong effort to sign the forward. Juve bought the Serbian player for €80 million in 2022, and they will continue to demand a large fee if they decide to sell him instead of keeping him. However, the Gunners have other ideas about this transfer.
Arsenal wants to get Vlahovic for a low price.
Vlahovic’s current contract ends in 2026, which means that next summer he will be in the last year of it. Juventus is still not sure if they want to keep him after a rough start to the season. In five games, he has only scored two goals against Hellas Verona–the only ones being against them.
If he keeps losing form, they might sell the €80 million attacker next summer. Arsenal wants something very close to what happened with Federico Chiesa this summer when the winger left for Liverpool for a lot less than he was worth. Arteta’s style would work well with Vlahovic, and if the conditions are right, Arteta could get back to form and stability with Vlahovic.
