The Pittsburgh Steelers have gotten off to a hot start in 2024, going 4-2 so far this season. Their defense has been the ultimate reason for their success, but the offense seemed to start to find its legs this past week. However, the Steelers would need to add more weapons to their offense if they want to get to the next level, and veteran Cooper Kupp could become available.
Pittsburgh Steelers Could Trade for Kupp
Kupp has been one of the top receivers in the league since being drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in 2017. While he has had to deal with some injuries, he is always to consistently produce on the field, which is exactly what the Steelers need.
Cooper Kupp Career
The star receiver has been injured for the majority of the season but is expected to make a return in Week Seven. If the Rams continue to struggle and lose games, he could be on the open market. Kupp has amounted to 7,213 receiving yards and 52 touchdowns in his career and also has a Super Bowl MVP under his belt.
With the current quarterback turmoil in Pittsburgh between Justin Fields and Russell Wilson, bringing in Kupp would help the offense get going during the transition. He could also bring in a veteran presence to the receiving room that is still very young, which could elevate the play of other guys.
Do you think the Steelers will target Kupp before the trade deadline?
